What Does the Overview Result Show?
The Overview tab is the primary results page displayed after a simulation is completed. It provides a consolidated summary of the simulation, allowing users to quickly assess battery model performance before reviewing the detailed result tabs.
Purpose
Use this tab to:
- Review the overall simulation results.
- Compare measured and predicted battery behavior.
- Assess the accuracy of the battery model using key performance metrics.
- Generate a simulation report.
Displayed Information
The Overview tab includes:
- Measured vs Predicted Voltage – Comparison of the measured battery voltage and the model prediction.
- SOC Estimation – Estimated State of Charge (SOC) throughout the simulation.
- Result Summary – Key performance metrics generated after the simulation.
Result Summary
The summary panel provides a quick overview of the simulation performance, including:
- Final SOC
- Voltage RMSE
- Maximum Voltage Error
- Mean Absolute Error (MAE)
These metrics help evaluate the accuracy of the battery model and identify any significant deviations during the simulation.
Exporting Results
After generating all the simulation results, users can export the simulation output and reports:
- Export Results – Save the raw simulation data for further analysis.
- Report Export Button – Located at the bottom right of the interface. Click on Export Report to export the reports containing the simulation results, summary metrics, and graphical plots.
Once exported, you can also view, download, and manage these reports directly in the Reports section on the initial dashboard.
Validation
Before exporting the report, verify that:
- The measured and predicted voltage closely agree.
- The estimated SOC follows the expected trend.
- The reported error metrics are within acceptable limits.
Once the results have been verified, export the report to archive the simulation and access it later from the Reports module.
